Technical Drawing Packages

At Trower Davies our core business is focused on producing new technical working house type drawing packages for national house building developers. We work with a range of sites, of all sizes from sites with 1-20 units right through to large volume sites of 250+ dwellings.

We offer a Technical Design Service, providing full construction drawings for all aspects of the project. Along with all new building design work, we can provide various site layout drawings through to the legal conveyance plans.

The full Technical Drawing Package can be tailored to suit the client’s exact requirements. Housing developers often have their own set of requirements and ‘scope of works’, we are happy to review these services and provide the appropriate level of support at competitive rates.

Upon requests, we are happy to provide sample example ‘technical drawing packs’ to show the level of comprehensive detailing we would expect to provide.

Lead Consultant

During the design process Trower Davies are also able to undertake the role as ‘Lead Consultant’ and liaise with the client and all other design team members to co-ordinate the overall design package and ensure program dates are achieved.

We will review and commit to clients’ programmes and can phase the release of drawings to suit the various build stages, such as Ground Works, Tender & Construction Issue packages.

We will undertake regular ‘Design Team Meetings’ with client and all design consultants during the course of works.

Building Standards and Regulations

At Trower Davies we have extensive knowledge of the current NHBC Standards and Approved Documents for compliance with the Building Regulations. We can liaise directly with the NHBC or Local Authority Building Control. We can also collate, submit submissions and negotiate the statutory approvals required and resolve any site queries should they arise.

We have the expertise to provide technical compliance plans in accordance with any planning requirements such as Affordable Homes HQI standards, ‘Lifetime Homes Standards’ or the Approved Document Part M4(1), (2) & (3), including full wheelchair compliance.

In addition to the production of technical drawings, we can liaise and manage the co-ordination of all other specialist design team consultants. In addition, we can also manage and co-ordinate the various specialist third-party design information.

With our partnership with Wenlock Health and Safety Limited, we have expert support and advice available for all aspects of Health and Safety throughout each project. Designer’s Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification Records will be produced and monitored throughout the course of works, whilst liaising with the clients appointed Principal Designer.

We will review client supplied Collateral Warranty’s with our insurer’s and provide comments / approval prior to signature.
